What is the cost and duration of an Apprenticeship?
Our apprenticeships take on average 12 – 18 months to achieve. The majority of the training and all of the assessments are carried out at your place of work. Occasionally apprentices will be invited to attend practical and theoretical training at our centre in Exeter.
The apprenticeship is fully funded for candidates aged under 19 and partially funded for candidates 19 or over. The employer will be expected to pay between £500 to £650 depending on the age of the candidate and the apprenticeship selected.
Trans Plant Mastertrain offers apprenticeships in four key areas. They are:
1. Driving Goods Vehicles (including an intensive lorry driving training course and tests.)
This apprenticeship is designed for anyone wishing to transport goods or who works within transport. For example as a technician, equestrian, agricultural, removals and warehousing. Goods can be transported via bicycle, motorcycle, car, van, rigid lorry and articulated lorries.
2. Warehouse & Storage (including forklift training and certification)
This apprenticeship is designed to suit an individual working in or around a warehouse, stock room or anywhere dealing with or handling goods.
3. Customer Service (including health & safety and manual handling training)
This apprenticeship is designed for anyone who deals with customers directly or indirectly.
4. Business Administration (including an IT qualification, health & safety and manual handling)
This popular qualification relates to almost every industry because nearly every industry requires administration.
